The project

We are looking for a Hospital Sales Manager to join a pharmaceutical company specialising in generic medicines for hospital use.

The successful candidate will lead the hospital business in Spain, taking responsibility for commercial objectives, the development of the KAM team and the execution of initiatives that support profitable growth.

Commercial and team leadership

  • Lead, motivate and support the KAM team to ensure delivery of sales objectives.
  • Conduct regular field visits to supervise performance, provide coaching and strengthen the team’s sales approach.
  • Join strategic customer visits when required.
  • Define weekly activity plans and monitor target achievement by product and therapy area.
  • Participate in the recruitment of new team members when needed.
  • Prepare detailed activity, performance and sales reports for company leadership.

Hospital business development

  • Participate in hospital tender processes, ensuring profitability and business growth.
  • Build long-term relationships with key customers, opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.
  • Engage with hospital pharmacies and other relevant stakeholders to support commercial development.
  • Lead events, conferences, campaigns and national initiatives, coordinating content, speakers and external partners.
  • Organise and deliver clinical sessions and training activities with healthcare professionals and hospitals.

Distribution, training and strategy

  • Coordinate with wholesalers and partners to maintain product availability and anticipate potential supply issues.
  • Work with the sales effectiveness team to identify training needs and ensure delivery against plan.
  • Provide technical and commercial training to strengthen product knowledge and team capabilities.
  • Regularly analyse competitors, portfolios, strategies and price positioning.
  • Develop recommendations and action plans to support business strategy.

Required profile

  • University degree in Science —preferred—, Business Administration or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in hospital sales.
  • Experience with hospital-use products is essential.
  • Experience managing, motivating and developing commercial teams.
  • Strong influencing, communication, analytical and results-oriented skills.
  • Fluent English.
